We were deeply saddened to hear about the passing of philanthropist Terry Snow AM over the weekend. Terry’s generosity and compassion has had a profound impact and has helped to advance health and medical research across the Northern Sydney Local Health District.
The Snow Foundation has been a significant supporter of the NORTH Foundation, especially over the last four years, donating to advance tick-borne disease research at Royal North Shore Hospital. Tick-borne illness, a chronic and debilitating condition affects a growing number of patients around Australia. The multidisciplinary team of researchers at the hospital have been working to transform the way in which tick-borne disease patients are viewed and improve their access to diagnostic testing, reliable identification of the causes of their illness and the treatment options available to them. Terry and his family’s unwavering commitment to this research and their substantial contributions will leave a lasting legacy, benefiting countless lives.
We extend our sympathy and condolences to Terry’s wife Ginette Snow, his beloved children and all their family and friends. Our thoughts are with them all during this difficult time.
The NORTH Foundation will continue to honour Terry Snow’s memory by dedicating our efforts to the causes he passionately supported. Terry’s philanthropic legacy will continue to shape and enhance the future of healthcare.
