Haemodialysis (HD) Units
Haemodialysis (HD) Units
Opened in December 2022, the Haemodialysis (HD) Units are equipped with the latest dialysis technology to provide life-saving treatment for patients with kidney failure or chronic kidney disease. These state-of-the-art units offer a comfortable and efficient environment for dialysis, improving patient outcomes and quality of life.

Chemotherapy Unit
Opened in 2023 as part of the major Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital redevelopment, the Chemotherapy Unit is a vital addition to cancer care in Northern Sydney. Featuring six treatment chairs and dedicated consultation rooms, the unit delivers intravenous chemotherapy and immunotherapy. Patients are cared for by a compassionate, multi-disciplinary team of oncology and haematology specialists, cancer nurses, and allied health professionals. Having this service means local patients no longer need to travel long distances to receive life-saving treatment. It brings comfort, convenience and continuity of care to families in our community - right when they need it most.

The Yarning Circle at Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital is a deeply meaningful space that honours Aboriginal culture and promotes connection to Country. Unique to the hospital, this special place invites everyone - patients, visitors, staff, and community members - to come together for reflection and conversation. Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital is proudly leading the way in embedding cultural spaces within healthcare settings, recognising the importance of holistic wellbeing. This tranquil area was made possible thanks to a generous bequest from Pamela Margaret Andrews, a much-loved patient and long-time hospital volunteer, whose legacy continues to support inclusive, welcoming care for all.
