Support Surgical Education Research and Training (SERT)
Help advance surgical excellence
Every year, thousands of patients rely on surgical care at Royal North Shore Hospital, many facing complex or emergency procedures when it matters most. Behind every operation is a commitment not only to treatment, but to continuously improving the safety, quality and outcomes of surgical care.
The Surgical Education, Research and Training (SERT) Institute exists to strengthen this work by supporting surgeons to go beyond the operating theatre through research, education, data driven improvement and clinical leadership. By removing barriers to innovation and academic activity, SERT enables surgeons to refine techniques, evaluate outcomes, and deliver safer, more effective care for patients across the Northern Sydney Local Health District.
This is more than a program. It is a system that drives better results. From training the next generation of surgeons to analysing surgical outcomes and advancing new approaches, the impact is felt in every patient experience and every successful recovery.
With your support, we can continue to invest in surgical research, education, and innovation, ensuring clinicians have the tools, data and training they need to deliver the highest standard of care.
