Project You Can Support: Lorikeet Clinic

The PARVAN Service Pilot Domestic and Family Violence “Lorikeet Clinic” is the first integrated service of its kind in NSW.

The Lorikeet Clinic is open to people of all genders and sexualities who have experienced domestic and family violence in the last twelve months.

There are many barriers for people experiencing domestic and family violence in accessing medical and psychosocial services. These barriers commonly and sadly result in significant unmet health and wellbeing needs.

Free, Trauma-Informed Support

The service is completely free and delivered with a trauma-informed approach, ensuring safe, compassionate care.

Combined Medical & Psychosocial Care

A team of Doctors and Social Workers provide integrated medical and psychosocial support - including injury documentation that may assist with legal processes.

Ongoing Care Through GP Linkages

The clinic connects clients with GPs for long-term care and offers support to GPs working with people affected by violence.

Referrals to the Lorikeet Clinic come from multiple sources including from Health, Police, DFV Community services, Non-Government Organisations, GPs and clients themselves.

By providing these essential services, PARVAN plays a crucial role in promoting the health, safety, and well-being of people, especially women, in the NSLHD community.

YOUR SUPPORT MATTERS

Why Support the Lorikeet Clinic?

The Lorikeet Clinic requires $400,000 annually to operate, with the majority of costs going directly toward the salaries of the skilled staff who provide frontline care.

Ongoing funding is needed to ensure the clinic can continue supporting the community beyond July 2025. Your contribution will directly sustain this vital, life-changing service.
