Our healthcare staff are proud to be a part of the Northern Sydney Local Health District (NSLHD), a team that provides care for a community of nearly one million people. No matter the stage of life you are in, their aim is to make sure that every person that comes through the doors receives exceptional care and compassion.
Jess and Kelly are nurse practitioners in the Intensive Care Unit at Royal North Shore Hospital (RNSH). They deliver advanced clinical care to high-risk patients with complex medical needs. One of their key priorities as nurse practitioners is to increase the number of advanced practice nurses.
The RNSH Emergency Department (ED) receives 85,000 patients a year. These include the most acute patients within the state who require specialist care for major burns, spinal injuries and trauma. In one of the busiest EDs in Sydney, the Director of ED, Dr Tom Harwood and his team provide emergency diagnosis and ensure patients are matched to hospital resources in a timely manner.
Associate Professor Naomi Hammond and the team of researchers and healthcare staff within the NSLHD are seeking new ways to identify, prevent and work towards finding a cure for diseases that impact our community through clinical trials.
Our healthcare staff want to ensure they are providing innovative healthcare and the best possible treatment to patients every day. Your donation today will help staff across the district like Jess, Kelly, Tom and Naomi to achieve their goals and break down barriers that can prevent the advancement of medical care.
