Calling all BIG ideas from NSLHD staff
The Sydney NORTH Clinical Trials Campaign is the first fundraising campaign of its kind here in the Northern Sydney Local Health District (NSLHD). It is an exciting initiative designed to revolutionise medical treatment through groundbreaking clinical trials that will pave the way for a healthier future for everyone. An important part of this process is involvement from staff across the NSLHD, who play a crucial role in shaping the future of clinical trials and advancing research.
Our campaign will centre around a handful of priority projects and as a next step, we want to gather some transformative ideas to help form the campaign. We believe that groundbreaking ideas often come from those who are deeply embedded in our hospitals and within our healthcare environment. That’s why we are reaching out to NSLHD staff members to share their visionary concepts and transformative ideas. Whether it’s a novel approach to patient care, a new treatment protocol, or a cutting-edge research proposal, we want to hear from you!
This is your opportunity to contribute to the next wave of medical advancements and make a significant impact on patient outcomes. If you have a big idea that you believe could revolutionise healthcare, we encourage you to submit it through our Expression of Interest form.
Key Requirements
To submit an EOI, you must be an NSLHD staff member. Your idea must also have the approval of your line manager.
To qualify as a campaign priority, please note that your project must include the following:
- A “big idea” – an innovative project that addresses a fundamental health issue
- A clinical research element
- Financial need of a minimum of $1 million but ideally $3 million or more
Process
You are invited to complete the EOI form as soon as possible. The closing date is Friday 13 September.
Every submission will receive an acknowledgement and submissions will be reviewed by the Research Advisory Committee in early October.
We anticipate responding to all applicants with an outcome of their submission by early November.

If, for whatever reason, your project is not chosen to feature as part of this campaign, the NORTH Foundation is still committed to supporting your valuable work. We can work with you to actively seek alternative funding opportunities and collaborate with you to explore other avenues for potential support. Your contributions are important to us, and we are dedicated to finding ways to help you achieve your research goals.
